Platform launch

As you probably noticed in past months the dedicatedto.us and dedicated.foundation domain have been bought. Along with this appropriate accounts on facebook and instagram. More are coming soon.

I decided to split Dedicated project into these separated domains (stories & foundation) mainly because at some cases we would probably need to present agenda of Dedicated foundation separately. Even though stories and foundation are two parts of body, it may happen in the future, that foundation would do things not related to stories and similarly stories may not be always related to the foundation itself.

Another reason is legal question. Foundation itself may be in the future limited by the law or legal terms. No matter what will happen I would like to keep stories (dedicatedto.us) independent at some level to the foundation itself, yet still undetachable part of foundation.

Foundation

Which points me directly to the foundation. There is a specific set of conditions to start the foundation in my home country - the Czech republic. One of them is initial legal amount for 500k CZK (approx. 20k USD).

In past months I was trying to figure out how to obtain this amount of finances. Let me note that this initial budget input will come from my personal investments and savings. I decided about that long time ago. But there is quite a good reason for that. In fact if you would spend some time reading the Dedicated manifesto you may notice pattern in how and by who the help is provided. In a nutshell I set three unwritten rules for myself regarding foundation and the Dedicated itself:

1. Resources, help and support must be given voluntarily.

2. Resources, help and support must be accepted voluntarily.

3. Everyone who will participate must do it voluntarily.

In general post-covid and war economy crisis causing loosing of value of investments all of us. So let's be patient and hope the times get better soon for all of us not only in terms of economy, but also in terms of human lives and whole direction to which the world is heading.

Stories

Yay! The first story of dedicatedto.us has been published. You can read about amazing Maheli Costa. But I should not forget - the story is not complete yet! Later in time the NFT for the story will be generated on Cardano network and sent to Maheli. It is the smallest gift I can make.

What is next?

In upcoming months my main focus will be on gathering of funds. You can also look forward to next stories about Maheli. And how about someone not mentioned yet? I was talking a lot with Kairee, the dedicated soul from Gambia, about sharing the story of hers. Unfortunately (and understandably) the sharing of her story would need time from her side. Let's be patient.
